이번에는 전치사, 등위접속사, 부사절접속사에 대해 알아보겠습니다.

전치사

1. 빈출 필수 암기 전치사 20개

1) at

시각: at 4 o'clock, at 7 a.m., at the end of this year

정확한 지점/주소: at the airport, at the library

2) on

월/일, -day: on November 21st, on Sunday

접촉: on a table

3) in

월, 계절, 연도: in 2030, in fall, in April

행정구역, 3차원: in Tokyo, in the classroom, in China

4) after

기간: after two hours, after five weeks

시점: after 7 p.m., after 3 o'clock, after the event

5) before

시점: before 12:30, before Friday, before lunch

6) until

지속성: ~is open until the end of the month, is closed until May 2nd

7) by

일회성: submit by April 17th

by+~ing(~함으로써): by submitting your application form

2. 생소하지만 기출 전치사 16개

1) underneath

~의 밑에, 아래에: underneath the table, underneath the bridge, underneath this stage

2) because of = due to = owing to = on account of

~때문에: owing to an unexpected event, due to recent heavy snow, because of the economic crisis, on account of the flood

3) as

~로서, +신분명/직책명: as a doctor / a child / a manager/ a leader

4) following

전치사(~후에): following the meeting / conference

형용사(그 다음의): the following month / year, following questions

뜻으로 구별 X, 위치를 봐야 한다

전치사 + 관사 + 명사

관사 + 형용사 + 명사

5) ~ing형 전치사

including(~를 포함하여): including tax

regarding(~에 관하여): regarding the project

concerning(~에 관하여): concerning the letter

=about, on, over(~에 관하여)

notwithstanding(그럼에도 불구하고(전치사/부사)): notwtihstanding some problems

6) of로 끝나는 전치사

in case of(만일 ~한다면): in case of an accident / fire

in the event of(만약 ~할 경우에): in the event of an earthquake

as a result of(~의 결과로써): as a result of salary negotiations

in light of(~에 비추어, 고려하여): in light of the rapid increase

ahead of(앞에, 보다 빨리): ahead of class

등위접속사

등위접속사: 대등한 관계에 있는 것을 연결하는 접속사

단어 + 등위접속사 + 단어

구 + 등위접속사 + 구(2개 이상의 단어로 이루어진 묶음, 동사가 없으면 구)

절 + 등위접속사 + 절(2개 이상의 단어로 이루어진 묶음, 동사가 있으면 절)

1. 등위접속사의 종류

and, but, yet, or, so(so는 문장과 문장만을 연결)

2. 등위상관접속사 종류와 수일치

Both A and B(A와 B 둘 다) + 복수동사

Either A or B(A 또는 B 둘 중 하나) +B에 수일치

Neither A nor B(A도 B도 아닌) +B에 수일치

Not only A but (also) B(A뿐만 아니라 B도) +B에 수일치

B as well as A(A뿐만 아니라 B도) +B에 수일치

Not A but B(A가 아니라 B) +B에 수일치

부사절 접속사

부사절 접속사의 모양

1. 부사절 접속사 종류

시간

once: ~하자마자, 일단 ~하면

as soon as: ~하자마자

after: ~후에

before: ~전에

when, as: ~할 때

while: ~하는 동안

until: ~까지

since: ~이래로

※ 굵은 글씨는 전치사로도 사용하는 단어

조건

if / provided(that) / providing(that) / assuming(that): ~라면

unless: ~아니라면

as long as: ~하는 한

in case (that) / in the event (that): ~인 경우에 대비하여

※ 시간/조건의 부사절에서는 미래시제X, 현재시제O

ex) I will share our latest findings at the conference when you call me to the stage

ex) We will reserve a venue if Ms. Taylor is available for the upcoming meeting

이유

because, since, as, now that: ~때문에, 이므로

ex) We will resume the construction now that the budget has been approved.

양보

although, though, even thought, even if: 비록 ~이지만

whereas: ~에 반하여

while: ~이긴 하지만, ~에도 불구하고

목적/결과

so that, in order that: ~할 수 있도록 + 조동사 can / may 와 잘 어울림

so 형용사/부사 that: 너무 ~해서 ~하다
